Capturing Moments: P3

´It's not just about taking pictures; it's about capturing the soul of the moment, freezing time, and making memories timeless.´- K

FOREVER

Shot on: Canon EOS-R (RF24-105 mm) Date: 30.04.2019 Location: (Melbourne, AU)

I had just joined the board of the photography club (Reflection Collective) at my university that was pretty fresh on the scene, just like me into photography, only a year old at that point. My role was all about wrangling the crew and putting together some epic photo walks and workshops. To my surprise, a pretty decent crowd turned up for our first walk. Armed with our cameras, we shot through the iconic streets of Little Collins, Little Bourke, Flinders, Exhibition, Lonsdale, Elizabeth, and Queen.

That particular photo (Forever) was shot in Chinatown on that very first photo walk. Two elderly souls, tucked away in a cozy restaurant, lost in conversation, with no one else around, there's an undeniable magic in such moments, don't you think?

But that was just the beginning of our club’s journey. Over the course of the next six months, during my stint with the club, we had some epic outings. Covering everything, from live concerts and events happening all over the city to that one time when we set up a portrait session in an abandoned mill – talk about uniqueness, right? I have tonnes of unposted photos from all these outings (mostly landscape formats, since Instagram swallowed in all the portraits), and will dump them all in here over the course of time.

Here are a few more snapshots from that very first photo walk (All shot on Canon EOS-R)
