Wrapped 2024

2024 was chaos. Pure, unapologetic adulting chaos. I spent most of it buried under projects, juggling deadlines like a circus act gone rogue. For the first time, I truly felt the weight of “grown-up” life—less travel, fewer runs, barely any movies (seriously, lowest in the last five years… let’s not dwell on that). Me calendar for 2025 isn’t exactly forgiving either—heck, I’m writing this “yearly wrap-up” in mid-February. But hey, that’s life, right? You can’t have it all. And honestly? I’m not even mad. I love the work I’m doing, even if it means sacrificing some of the fun stuff.

But hey, it wasn't all doom and gloom. I still managed to get out there and hit the road, which is always a win in me book. I got those weights moving too, and even got back to the nets for some fun. The running shoes didn't see as much action as I'd hoped, but you can't have it all, right?

The year kicked off with a bang—or more accurately, a grueling hike in the Western Ghats. Think two days of scorching heat, 90% humidity, legs begging for mercy, and a water supply that decided to ghost us. Oh, and crowds that made me question humanity. But here’s the thing: somehow, me friends and I still managed to laugh our way through it. I’d teased this adventure in last year’s wrap-up, so finally sharing the photos feels like closing a loop.

Of course, the universe has a sense of humor. Me last hike of 2024? A disaster of legendary proportions. Picture this: bleeding knees, muttered curses, and a mutiny brewing—all before we’d even hit the 2km mark. Maybe I’ll spill that story someday… when the trauma fades.

And because life loves contrasts, Somehow, this year’s first adventure already delivered: divine sunsets, killer food with even better company, midnight shenanigans, those Devine rituals and some kayaking through “God’s Own Country.” Not bad for a chaotic start. Consider this your sneak peek.

And yet, amid the chaos, 2024 gave me moments I’ll hold onto: lazy Sundays with family, laughter with friends, and those tiny, unplanned joys that make the grind feel worthwhile. So here’s to adulthood—the messy, unscripted journey where you fumble, learn, and occasionally surprise yourself. May 2025 bring a little more balance, a few more movies, and maybe even a functional sink drain.
